“Flux explores the fluid nature of personal identity. How you’re perceived by different people. The masks we all wear. The influence society, friends and parents have on us. The labels and stereotypes we collect and apply to others. How you know who you are…..when you don’t actually know who you are!
Flux is contemporary, high energy, and features an original soundtrack. The show depicts multiple perspectives and stories, with the cast members playing a range of characters - including versions of themselves, peers, parents, and teachers.

Working with Mortal Fools and their talented ensemble of young people, an immersive, impactful and punchy soundtrack was created for their play
The soundtrack featured melodies, beats and lyrics created by the young people via a music workshop facilitated by myself.
The music was created both by cast members with musical confidence and those with little or none
The audio was produced to include instrumentation and vocals performed by the young people
Flux was performed on the 11th April at the YMCA Northumberland, and the 13th April 2022 at Gosforth Civic Theatre.
