To accompany Theatre by the Lake’s theatrical adaptation of ‘The Lost Spells’ in Keswick, songwriting workshops were organised with friend and collaborator Ruth Mary Johnson.

Two groups of children were invited to write songs that explored incantations, woodland animals and habits, and a greater sense of the sacred great outdoors. They wrote lyrics, melodies, chords and rhythms, played live instruments and sang on the recordings. Both songs were written, recorded, and mixed within two days.
